I've seen all kinds of people feeding gray jays in the PNW-from parents getting kids in photos to the typical Mt. Si "climber." Also, what are the odds that the snowboarders were younger and the skier older? Youth will always be harder to get through to. I think people that feed the wildlife are less often apathetic and more often uneducated. You could argue that statistically a skier might be more likely to have been educated in backcountry etiquette but that's simply because skis are easier to travel the backcountry on. There are just as many ignorant recreational skiers as snowboarders. Plus if you're playing stereotypes, isn't snowboarding trendy now and the rebels have become park skiers? Maybe we should just hate on people with baggy pants instead. Oh wait tight pants are in now...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
