Weekend Warrior -- One Big Video to get you Stoked!

I stumbled upon this fantastic video during a recent web surfing session. The video caught my attention and the high quality film making and soundtrack make the 17 minute run time well worth it.

The premise is simple and entertaining. Petzl brought together some of the best climbers in the world and put them to the test on two "Infinity Lane" routes. Both of these routes are normally climbed in three pitches but for this event the athletes must link the pitches together into one 90 meter superpitch. The climbers have only one attempt per day, so if they fall before the top that's it until tomorrow. All these factors combine for a very entertaining climbing video which chock full of action!

Holy JEEBUS this is an annoying video! The filmmaker's choice to cut the camera shot away from the climbers IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR MOVES to show a guy SITTING IN A STUDIO PLAYING A FLUTE, 200 times, makes this almost unwatchable.

Some fantastic climbing has been turned into complete dross by the 200 cut-away shots to the guy playing the flute.

I give this a 1 on the 10 scale.

Not worth watching.
