Weekend Warrior - Videos to get you STOKED!!!

It's been a pretty bleak ski season here in the Cascades, so the first minute-and-a-half of this video was pretty relatable.  But then Johan Jonsson cranks his DIN to 21, turns the volume up to 11, and rips some crazy lines.  I can't believe some of the terrain he is flying over.

*Caution, strong language*

Since this is a neutral year (neither El Niño nor La Niña), we probably won't be seeing a huge amount of snowfall this season here.  But history has shown that in every neutral year, there is at least one big weather event that brings us a huge dump of snow. Until that comes, we can dream of days like Jake Cohn, Charlie Cohn, and George Knowles had in Japan.

For those of you craving more rock than snow, here's a nice clip for you.  James Pearson recently climbed "It's not always Pasqua" in central Italy.  James described the climb as "with the protection pre-placed, it is an 8b sport route with a 7c+ boulder problem at the top."  The climb was originally put up by Mauro Calibani in 2002 and as a free climb goes at E9 7a (approx. 5.14c).  It has only had one other repeat besides James'.

Have a great weekend! - the other James Pierson
