Weekend Warrior - Videos to get you STOKED!!!
Mark Synnott, Alex Honnold, Hazel Findlay and Jimmy Chin travel to the relatively undeveloped climbing areas of Oman in this first video of the weekend. On this adventure they find a beautiful landscape filled with a mix of challenging deep-water soloing and steep, imposing multi-pitch buttresses.
When someone mentions "Transylvania," thoughts of vampires and werewolves usually pop into your mind. But when Brody Levin and KT Miller tried to ski down an ice climb in Romania, they had to deal with rappelling waterfalls, rock hopping, 'shrund skipping and more! I'm not sure which is worse - all that or the blood-sucking undead...
Mina Leslie-Wujastyk is more well known for her bouldering prowess, but she recently dove headfirst in to trad climbing. So what does she attempt first? A classic (and very difficult) line in the Stanage area of the Peak District in England. "Unfamiliar" is a E7, 6b (5.11b), with basically a big high-ball boulder problem, one quick spot for mediocre pro, then a run-out to the top. Sounds like fun, eh? My hands are sweating a bit just typing that.
Have a great weekend! - James
